We had a question from a reader of Indiana Spine Group's blog.  They wanted to know if they should continue seeing a chiropractor for their spinal problem.

In response to that question, recommendations concerning specific treatments can not be made with this blog.  An integral component prior to making any treatment plans and recommendations is the physical and diagnostic exam that is performed by the spine specialist.  If indicated, a part of this exam are imaging or other diagnostic tests.

It is always recommended to get a second opinion prior to any surgery or other intensive medical treatment.  It is also important to discuss medical treatment and care with your primary care physician, in that they know all aspects of your health and any existing medical condition(s).  Therefore, they can make referrals to specialists as needed.
